Thumbs down Goodell's suspension of Saints players proves this is a new NFL

Just recently, a matter of hours before Roger Goodell announced what are extremely harsh punishments for New Orleans Saints players involved in the bounty scandal, one of those disciplined, linebacker Jonathan Vilma, made an interesting change to his Twitter account.

He took the photo of him glaring on the front of the Sports Illustrated cover story about the Saints scandal and made it his avatar. It was a startling moment of extreme arrogance. Vilma was basically flaunting it. When a follower asked Vilma on Twitter why he was using that photo as his avatar, Vilma responded: "bc Jon Vilma can."

The NFL will never share its entire bounty file with the union because the trust between the two sides is nonexistent. The league feels the union would leak the file to the public.
Really? The league has been leaking information to the press for the better part of three months. If the Union represents the players, and the league want's to suspend one of those players, the Union has every right to demand to see the evidence behind the leagues desire to fine or suspend. Period. If the league won't supply the evidence the Union should do everything in its power to force the league to supply the evidence, and if that means hustling up a way to get to Federal court then by all means necessary...

You are all going to think this is over the top, but I'd consider a strike RIGHT NOW unless the evidence, in its entirety, is disclosed. Roger Goodell, in his quest to paint the NFL in a positive light over the concussion lawsuits, in my humble opinion, has abused the power his office provides him. How can he speak about 'fair play' and 'integrity' from one side of his mouth and fine, suspend, and ban people from the NFL without showing them the evidence against them?

I'm not a Union guy, but i say to the NFLPA, it's time to BOW UP...BIG TIME...all the way to a strike if necessary.

C'mon Man...

So what this article is is some hack telling the NFLPA and it's members they should embrace Goodell and all of his heavy handed sanctions without question and thank him for looming over their ability to make a living like the Sword of Damocles. It's a good thing that one man can strip them of millions at the stroke of a pen with no recourse other than to grovel at his feet in hope of mercy. Evidence? Pphtt. It's good to king baby.
