AP Column: Goodell better have goods on 'bad' Saints

That's hard to imagine, considering the harsh penalties Goodell already imposed on the Saints hierarchy without so much as a peep of protest.
This is what is confusing to me. If my boss told me that he's laying me off for a year because he has proof of me behaving poorly, I'm asking for evidence. Because Payton, Loomis, and Vitt, didn't do anything more than appeal, it seems like an admission of guilt. The players have more legal help available to them than the coaches do so they can appeal (and most likely lose that appeal) but also have better legal support to take it further than the Commissioners office.
