A good read, but the ending just cracked me up...
You've got to be kidding me, Rivers is not one of the top QBs in the league and I don't care what anyone says about it, he just doesn't have the mental attributes to become an elite QB, IMO. And to compare the success of Turner and Rivers to what Payton and Brees have had is just as ludicrous. Anyway, whatever the article says, Schottenheimer and Smith both have to take their share of the blame, and I wouldn't give Smith as high of a grading of how he managed the situation with Brees and Rivers as the author does. |
