Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk in an interview on 790AM in Houston and has clearly changed his tune. He's now on the Saints side & questioning Goodell's evidence. Awesome interview.

Well see how thing have changed. Goodell is going to be qusetioned on a lot of thing now. He was drunk with POWER !!!!!

Maybe someone can enlighten me here, I still cant understand why Goodell, has such a hatred of our beloved Saints in the first place.

They lied to him. Just like Con Vick. They were told to stop and they didn't. But the dude went overboard.

He doesn't want us to play in the Superbowl at home. It's a money thing and we wouldn't understand..........

It's not really a hatred towards the Saints but more of a covering his azz from future concussion lawsuits since he and the NFL lied a few years back saying that there wasn't any connection to concussions from playing football and dementia and althemizers that some older players were developing. He has to show proof that he was all about making the game safer and this was his way of trying to do that. He just went extremely overboard and now it's starting to bite him.

Talk about a complete 360! I guess he has redeemed himself a teeny bit by being man enough to say his true position in the beginning and why he has since changed his tune.

He will have to resign in disgrace and destitute as he'll have to pay Vilma millions of $ in punitive damages.

Goodbye Goodell. Now the idiots are starting to see the light. I'm a die hard Saints fan but if you give me hard irrefutable evidence that the Saints did all the things Goodell accused them of I wouldn't fight it and I wouldn't complain about the punishment but Jeez Louise just show me the freaking evidence! You know, I watched sportscenter last night for the first time in several months.

For all the explosiveness of the uncovering of this horrible, terrible, retched, immoral, and downright insensitive bounty program we had...

...they did something like a 45 second blurb on the fact that one of the players in the NFL is actually suing Roger Goodell. You'd think a player standing up to such mighty power would be a big story...

Florio made it sound like Sean Payton, Mickey Loomis, Gregg Williams and Joe Vitt took a "hit" for the BIG TEAM.

Florio said there's Pay for Performance, example paying a player a meal or $100 for a great catch or INT, then there is a Bounty scheme where players are paid to hurt other players.

Did they admit to a Pay for Performance scheme, or did they expressly saying it was Bounty Scheme?

What if Goodell submits player testimonies as evidence of Vilma's involment and then Vilma submits testimonies of players saying he didn't?

This has the potential to turn into a real circus act which would make Goodelllook like ...

Well let's not give Florio too much credit. Hell. I, for one, as well as thousands of others, Saints fans and otherwise, have been saying for months what he is finally saying weeks and weeks after the fact.

I mean, I'm glad he is coming around and I hope more do...but "show the evidence" is something any right-thinking person would have been hollering from day one, especially a 'reporter'.

He can't show the evidence. He promised to protect them. Now they are going to have to make sworn statements. Even if in private, I doubt any of them are willing to go any further.

I wouldn't say a power trip. Just a man trying to build and protect a brand who has no idea how to build or protect a brand.

Do you know for a fact anyone within the Saints organization lied to Goddell?

What city was this broadcast in? Was this New York?

If it goes to trial, it's a jury trial.

Remember, this isn't how much or how little Vilma is guilty, this is about Goodell making false statements about Vilma, repeatedly, without correct evidence to back it up.

Vilma would have to be caught red handed, but even then Goodell did NOT use discretion or correct protocals when making blanket statements about Vilma and YES it does hurt his career.

Ever know someone fired from a job?
Ever ask the boss why they were fired?

Their answer should be "I can't discuss that" or "they moved on."

Do you know why companies direct management to say that?
Because if someone says "he was fired for incompetence (etc.)" the former, fired employee may have grounds for lawsuit against their former employer for potentially making false statements and divulging private information.

These are contracted players which are a little different, but not much. You cannot use your authority to make false statements about people, even if they're somewhat true.

Roger Goodell used NO DECORUM or forethought before making ANY statements about Vilma. He setup Vilma as an instigator of Williams' Bounty Scheme.

Goodell DID NOT repeat Fujita's name over and over again...
Goodell DID NOT repeat Will Smith's name over and over again...
Goodell DID NOT repeat Anthony Hargrove's name over and over again...

But he did talk A LOT about Vilma. Goodell better have hard, cold evidence showing Vilma was Williams' general in the Bounty Scheme.

Goodell also need to prove it was a "Bounty Scheme" and NOT a "Pay for Performance" scheme. The two are totally different.

It should be noted that Vilma has a legitimately good case. That this "defamation" has damaged his career & cost him serious money is undeniable, so it's showtime for the proof. Goodell doesn't wanna reveal whatever "evidence" he claims to have, but he's gonna have to when this goes to court.

Vilma actually has a very strong chance of winning his case. Who is willing to be known as the whistleblower(s) because telling Goodell in his secret squirrel chambers, that's one thing; telling a jury in a court room...much much different. If anybody finds out who you are, your life would never be the same again and odds are somebody will.

I want Drew Brees signed.. could careless about Vilma and his case with Goodell, Goodell went overboard yes, he should have killed the head "Gregg Williams" and slapped everyone else on the wrist, he went and gutted our team out to the core and hung us up for the media to beat up on for weeks, i think he did go way overboard and many other's see that too, i mean if we were meant to be used as an example god forbid what he'll do to a team if they get caught doing the samething? We might see the first city stripped of their football club if Goodell has anything to do with it.

Well as far as Florio goes, the dude is a real lawyer, and once this thing started to get more and more out into the public, he got a whiff of its stench, and now you can pretty clearly see that the lawyer in him doesn't want to touch the league's case with a ten foot pole. Others will tow the league line, but you know a real lawyer is not gonna get suckered into following something blindly without getting to the bottom of what's what.

Show ME THE EDVIDENCE !
