"I feel for him. I feel with him. He wants to be here right now. I want him to be here right now and we'll work hard to get that accomplished," Loomis said Friday while attending an event at the Saints' Hall of Fame. "It's important to Drew, but it's important to our team. The magnitude of this contract is going to impact our team for a long period of time, so we've got to get it right. It's got to be right for Drew, but it's got to be right for our team as well."

Like Loomis in general But WTF. Only thing good for the team is to get this man back on board and pay this man for what he has done for football and this whole area. If he screws this one up he is done here. You will have so many protesters on Airline drive you wont be able to pass that way for days.

I understand we all want him signed and yeah the best thing for the team is to get him signed, but at the same time we support the team and not the player, I like the guy who wants to make the team better and even though brees has said all the right things about getting a "team friendly deal" that was all BS to be honest
We lost Carl nicks because brees turned down the deal and we had to franchise him I love drew as the player as much as anyone, but I've lost a lot of respect for him this offseason, it's been tough since the media is constantly trashing us and I thought this deal was the last thing we had to worry about I want to get brees signed, but I for one support the new Orleans saints and not one player, the amount that he gets payed makes no difference to me, I like players who are reasonable |

1 player doesn't make a competitive team; just look at what happened to the Colts last year. They put all their money into Manning, he had to sit out the year and what did they go 2-14?
And I would much rather be able to sign Hawthorne, Chamberlain, Lofton, Grubbs than if Loomis would have signed Drew right off the bat and he took ALL our salary cap |

I understand Loomis, and I trust him, and his track record. Notice he didn't go after Drew. Drew's right, but so it Loomis. It's necessary to get the Brees deal done, but get it done correctly, that's what taking them so long. One, guaranteed money, what is the figure that Condon sees Drew getting in guaranteed money. Two worse case senario with what I believe is called a flat cap ( if the salary cap doesn't expand as it is expected to )
This is why Loomis gets the benefit of the doubt from me. If this isn't done correctly, the salary Drew will command over the next 3 years could cost us to lose great players, SPROLES, GRAHAM. |

I don't know how anyone can decide who to be mad at without knowing where the parties are at, or what has transpired in the negotiations.
Frustrated yes, mad no. |
