this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Best quote from the quotes above: No matter the outcome of the unprecedented lawsuit against Goodell, it is clear Vilma is not sitting out this season without a fight. And if that's the case, he's taking the right approach. His ...

I have been kinda digging in on this, trying to figure out WHEN and WHY the "bounty" investigation was reopened in "the latter half of the 2011 season." That's all they've said so far about it, that I'm aware of. Just that it was late in the 2011 season, they reopened the investigation for some reason. And lately, I'm kinda looking at that '11 Vikings game again -- remember the 42–20 cloberration blowout we put on them? Brad Childress was gone as coach by then, but a lot of the Vikings players and coaches (Leslie Frazier) were the same guys who lost and whined about it after the NFC Championship game. I mean I really wonder about that '11 Vikings game now -- because do ya'll remember right after that game, AP complained in the media about how the Saints were twisting his ankle in the pile? I think it's possible that the Vikes might have been the ones who went running to Goodell and complained AGAIN, like a spoiled kid who gets beat up and then runs to teacher, crying and telling his half-true version of what really happened. I mean notice how those Vikings players, they really do tend to pile on with this stuff in the media, bashing the Saints, it's like HMMMMM |
