How much would you pony up to get Drew signed?
I'm down for a hundred, I'm sure if we all pitch in we can make this happen!
|
This is a ridiculous thread.
I'm down for 200. Ridiculous. |
I hope I never get that desparate for anything. Imagine me, a guy on a very humble salary, giving some of my humble earnings so that Drew can have 23 million a year instead of 20...or whatever.
Yep...when something hits you in the head and you realize it is pig crap from above...that is when I will "pony-up" some of my hard earned money. |
I have 20.00 bucks I can pitch in.
|
The Benson crew has more than enough $$$. You get that way by not giving it away. In the end both the Benson crew and Drew'll have more of that stuff than you'll ever see. Use it to buy a friend something pretty, or yourself a new toy instead.
|
If I were Benson, I would pay him the 5 million just to end this crap.
|
How about 20.3M/3Y with a 5M bonus for each Super Bowl he wins and 17M/2Y. Done!

$0.00

I don't think the Saints have handled it correctly. I saw were Tennessee was offering ownership or a life contract to Payton Manning. Saints should look into something like that OR offer Drew a small percentage minority ownership in the Hornets!!

I think Benson needs to go into Loomis's office close the door and tell the man to get the deal done.

not a penny. They get too much off of tickets and beer!

Ain't that the truth.

my answer to the original question is $0.00! Football players are already making way to much damn money. When you have players signing 6-7 years for 130 million something is wrong.
That's why I have to pay 8.50 for a damn Miller Light at the Dome, makes me sick :puke: |
Drew is asking for the stars, The Saint's are offering him the moon. I think they will settle somewhere around Jupiter or Uranus!

I already pay close to $2000 with season tickets and drinks at the dome.
That's more than enough! |
$10, all my old Ninja Turtle figures from when I was a kid, and a Subway $5 footlong......premium footlong if I get a jersey.
|
Let's give him Greece?

Obviously a stupid question, Benson should write him a personal check and deposit it in an offshore account for Drew's grand kids to live off of.
That being said, I tip my hat to Loomis for thinking long term instead of doing the popular thing. How many times does a big signing handcuff a franchise? I say pay the man make sure the contract is a win for both sides. |
Everything i have..
Presently thats $3 in 1s .86 in change A dandy Saints coffee mug yellow highlighter black sharpie starbucks card worth $25 and a paperback book "Built to last" by Collins & Porras Oh... and i would let him take my Caddillac CTS-V for the weekend. |
I have no idea if this is legal in the NFL or not, but how about say a 7 year playing contract, say worth $140 million, then upon retirement a personal services contract kicks in for say like another 50 million over 10 years or so???
|
Did I mention, set includes ALL FOUR Turtles (think Raphael has damage to a leg), Splinter, April O'Neal, and Shredder. Drew, think about it.
|
Good deal sharke !

re: deion sanders/jerry jones |
If the Saints do not get this done and if it was legal I would surely give what I could afford at the time at least $100 though. I am sick that it has came to this where this is even a speculation.

From me? A blank check on my old bank account. If he can't cash it then he can play basketball with it.
|
I'd give the money to this board/Halo first.

"enjoy" them, or nothing like that. |
I'd pony up some cash for Loomis to stick to his guns.
|
I can give him all the money on my old Bank Of America account which I left behind when I moved back to Finland... it's been collecting interest for two years, so there might be enough for Brees to buy himself a beer at the Superdome.
But seriously, it's not like Benson doesn't have the money to pay Brees what he wants or that TB lacks the desire to do that - it's simply a matter of fitting Brees' contract under the salary cap while leaving enough of the cap to keep the rest of the team competitive. I mean it would be nice if they'd just pay him what he wants to finally put this whole thing to rest, but how pissed would we all be if that meant that they couldn't offer Graham a competitive contract, causing him to go to another team? |
