To Vilma
Time to let it the fk go!
Right....... Wrong...... You need to take your self out of the teams picture and pursue his lawsuit on your own. I have heard people disgruntled about Brees not putting the team first in regards to his contract, and also that "no one man comes before the team", "we are not going to hurt the team for one man".. I am not willing to cut off my nose to spite my face, nor am i willing to support Vilma in dragging this out just to make a point to Goodell. No matter the outcome of this from this point on, Goodell had done what he set out to do and its time to stop retaliating. Goodells power was given to him by the players (NFLPA), like it or not the NFLPA made a monumental bad decision in doing this. Vilma, bow the fk out brother. You had your appeal, you lost, your game isn't there anymore, it is time to let it go. By you dragging this on you are doing nothing but creating uncertainty in on-the-field leadership and the salary cap; neither the fans nor the players need the distraction or drama any more... You may be the innocent one in all of this (benefit of doubt) you may be 100% in the right; but at this point your battle is no longer doing the team any good. Time to look DeMaurice Smith in the eyes, tell him he is an idiot, and he made his bed now lay in it. Thank you for all you have done but this dog is not hunting anymore. A true leader does not sacrifice the many for the one. |

Sorry man. I gotta disagree. Right is right. He's not just fighting for him but he's fighting for our coaches who can't fight for themselves. I say sue away. I'm behind him.
I wish Fujita would get involved. |

I agree with Jimmy, sue away brother. If GODell has this supposed "ledger", show it. Prove Vilma is the horrible, dispicable person you say he is. I'm behind ya Vilma, hope the truth comes out and you show the DICKtator he's wrong.

What good would telling DeMaurice Smith, he made his bead now lay in it, do?
He don't really give a crap. D Smith is not the one suspended for a year and losing his salary? Im just not getting your logic on this one. |

I totally disagree. Vilma should carry on this fight as long as he feels the need to. The problem is that, if he doesn't, it sets a precedent for bosses to play the waiting game to see if the other side gives up. If you truly believe you are unfairly treated by employers, if you feel they have called you out unjustly, then why give up? That is exactly what they want him to do. If you are getting fed up reading about it, fine. But don't expect someone to give up what they believe in because YOU can't be bothered.

I totally get the frustration but Vilma should keep going.....and Jimmy B and SaintGup already stated the rest of my counterpoint.....
Not really a fan of action being taken w/o any proof given by management. My God, David Stern wouldn't even try that ****. |

Vilma fighting this thing is absolutely for the benefit of the team, if he is healthy, he would undoubtedly be one of the starting LBs, which conversely would mean that SS wouldn't be a starter.

On a related note, with so many great linebackers, SS isn't still a starter is he? Sigh.

Vilma's practicing and getting better. I dont see where there's really any distraction. As far as leadership, most of these cats know Vima well. If my friend were doing this, not only would it not distract me, it would motivate me. If Vilma misses time, we have other guys who can lead.
Its time somebody stood up to the Commish... Do NOT back down to this turd. He will learn he can't bully everybody. All this campaigning against him and our team just may force his hand and blow up in his face. I've got Vilma's back until proven guilty. |
