Lost: Dale Carter, I think we’ll re-sign him eventually if other deals don’t transpire.. Probably for league minimum. Jason Craft-CB, Solid number two. He will stop the bleeding. He is a Fred Thomas clone. Not a shut-down CB but not a bad cover-corner Fred Thomas-CB, SOLID. Not spectacular but plays better and better every year. Ashley Ambrose-CB, Former stud, now just a solid nickel-back. But with so many 3 WR sets being used he’s very valuable. Fakhir Brown-CB,Still developing and you can see his improvement as the year went on. Provides good nickel-dime depth. Keyou Craver-CB, Mixed up kid. If he gets his head on straight he can contribute. But he appears to be backsliding physically and emotionally. He could use a good sports psychologist and a kick in the rear. CB Outlook- Good unit if healthy. But one key injury and we are in deep trouble. I still foresee another addition before camp. McKenzie, Woodson, or Law would turn this group into a strength, instead of a weakness. Easily the biggest area of concern entering the 2004 campaign. I think the question is whether we sacrifice a 2nd or 3rd for McKenzie, or a 1st or 2nd for Law/Woodson. |

Pass the bottle, Danno.
Me likee the Craft deal, especially the low price. I\'m sure that the organization considered his knee injury and decided that he would be able to perform this year. My biggest concern, like you, is the D word. June 1 should take care of that. To be honest, I hope our corners don\'t even matter this year. I\'d like for Smith, Howard, Grant, Sully and Mr. Young to be placing so many appendages on opposing passers that our corners spend most of the games scratchin\' their azzzzzes. Heck, throw me out there in the fourth. Have azz; will scratch. |
