BROOK IS THE BEST QB FOR THE SAINTS
Now if we could get opposing corners and safeties to leave Brooks alone as well , the Saints would be in great shape .
What you guys do not get is the fact other teams have tape on Brooks and the word is out . http://www.nola.com/saints/t-p/index.../browns25.html Brooks cannot make the quick reads . :casstet: |

BROOK IS THE BEST QB FOR THE SAINTS
You all must be kidding!!! Give Brooks a break?? Did any of you see the four turnovers on Sunday courtesy of Brooks? \"Still a young QB\" \"Other teams have tape on him\" I am tired of all the BS excuses everyone keeps making for Brooks. The fact is that Brooks has tremendous talent, but has not shown the ability to play consistently. Gatorman, your stats need some work. You say he only has 1 1/2 year under his belt, but has a record of 25/10. That is more than 2 years worth of games.

BROOK IS THE BEST QB FOR THE SAINTS
Im not bashing brooks, but I think this game was all him. With out the turnovers in the red zone that game was over. Brooks has all of the blame for this one.

BROOK IS THE BEST QB FOR THE SAINTS
Gator, I have to agree with Whodat here. You know I support this team and I am not one to knock them when they are down. But yesterday\'s loss sits squarely on the shoulders of Aaron Brooks.
I am not saying that Brooks sucks or is not capable of winning the big game, just that he made mistakes yesterday that cost the SAINTS the game -- stupid mistakes, misjudgements that were avoidable. You and I both know that he is a better QB than his playing the last couple of weeks would lead anyone to believe. I just hope that he learns to accept responsability for his mistake and learns from them so that he becomes that great quartback that we know he is capable of being. Go SAINTS!!! BROOK IS THE BEST QB FOR THE SAINTS
If any of you would like to know what happens when you lose faith and don\'t give your starter enough time (1 and a half years is NOT enough) then this year\'s Dallas Cowboys should be as far as you need to look. As most of you will recall...Aikman wasn\'t an overnight success...it took a few years. I\'m not saying Quincy Carter was the answer here in Dallas either, but they bailed on him WAY too soon. Lay off AB. He\'s got talent and he\'ll come around. You have to have faith in your decisions. This is NOT NOT NOT the time for a \"knee-jerk\" response. An attempt at a \"quck fix\" now would hurt this team in the long run. Thank GOD Jerry Jones Doesn\'t own the Saints.

BROOK IS THE BEST QB FOR THE SAINTS
Why is it that everyone is saying that we cant bench Brooks to fast??? He has been with the team for 2 and a half almost 3 years now. Starter for the end of his first season (5), last season (16)and a this year(11). That is 32 games so it is now 2 seasons he has started for us. How much has he improved??? Im not seeing much improvement.
Pennington- First 3 games 26 of 47 55% 352 yards 0TD and 2 INTs Since (7games) 146 of 198 74% 1571 yards 11TDs 3 INTs Bulger- First 3 games 56 of 70 80% 696 yards 6TDs 3INTs Since (2games) 57 of 83 69% 800 yards 6 TDs 1 INT Carr- First 3 games 28 of 69 41% 331 yards 2TDs 4INTs Since (8games) 130 of 225 58% 1569 yards 7TDs 7INTs Harrington- First 3 games 22 of 53 42% 234 yards 2TDs 5INTs Since (8 games) 151 of 294 51% 1698 yards 9TDs 8INTs RedMan- First 3 games 49 of 96 51% 511yards 3TDs 2INTs Since (3games) 48 of 86 56% 523 yards 4TDs 1 INT Maddox- First 3 games 49 of 76 64% 606yards 5TDs 4INTs Since (5games) 98 of 158 62% 1266 yards 11TDs 7INTs So why do we have to wait for 2-3 years for Brooks to show improvement? All these guys have shown flashes of improvement after only 3 games and some of them are on horrible teams. Why does Brooks who has been on contending teams have to get 3 years? Look what Koy Detmer did last night he hasnt started in years and he comes off the bench and plays a nearly flawless game despite a few tyming routes that were off (understandable) and a few under throws... Tom Brady did the same thing a year ago and it cost Bledsoe his job, Marc Bulger might have cost Warner his job. Warner did it to Trent Green. Im not saying we will find a superstar on our bench, but we will know when we have a superstar. Brooks shows flashes, but has so much downside we cant wait any longer. Its tyme for him to either prove himself or get out till we find someone who will prove himself. |

BROOK IS THE BEST QB FOR THE SAINTS
another excellant point by gator, the offensive line has played horribly for the past 4 games, and those just cuz those other qbs have had good games so far doesnt mean they dont have bad games too. pennington has been in the league for 3 years, and he is just starting, and he has curtis martin behind him too, bulger has faulk and he wont cost warner his job, the guy is a 2 time MVP!!! , redman has jamal lewis, harrington and carr are both rookies who are expected to be good and have played above expectations. maddox was once the #1 overall pick and was the heir apparent to elway, so the guy was expected to perform. get off of brooks, the guy broke the team record for TDs last year, and will break it again this year, he has had 2 bad games and is still 2nd in the league in TDs, if he can be 2nd in the league in TDs and cant read D coverages, i would like to see what happens when he starts to read them, how many TDs would we score then? 40? 50? let the guy be himself and lead this team to the playoffs.
