Name some players we let go or traded that went on to have good careers with other teams
I remember Wesly Walls. Ricky Williams too, but there were a few more I cannot remember and was hoping you guys could help out.
|
Roaf, Delhomme, Bulger are 3 that had a lot of success
|
Wes Chandler, Chuck Muncie, Morten Anderson, Bobby Hebert, and Henry Childs.
|
Mills, Swilling and Jackson all did well elsewhere as well as much as it pains me.
|
Sammy Knight, Leroi Glover. Can I add Jim Mora?
|
Can't forget Mel Gray.
|
Wesley Walls, we kept Irv Smith...
Jake Delhomme, we kept Aaron Brooks... Willie Roaf, for a fourth/third round pick - that one really hurts... Laroi Glover left via Free Agency... Sam Mills left via Free Agency and taught the Panthers how to win early, and often; he even coached after he retired from playing... I have never forgave the Saints for trading Archie Manning; Mills and Manning departures are as bad as the bountygate BS in my eyes... |

Sammy Knight was allright for Miami after he left. |
How about Rob Ninkovich? He's been pretty solid for the Pats...
|
Mills and Roaf... would have loved to have seen them spent their whole careers here. The rest, meh.
|
ROFLMAO.... I am having a strange day..
Someone go to the Chargers board and ask the same question, or rephrase it to traded to the Saints. Brees, Sproles... |
We are still trying to get MAnderson's foot out our butts.
He made us pay just about every time we played ATL after he left. I know there was one game he beat us by himself. |
Just look at Carolina's history of pro-bowlers and there you have it.

Sammy Knight shouldn't have been allowed to depart; met him on a couple of occasions and he was a terrific, generous guy... |

Much like the Falcons ... Hebert, Andersen, Horn ... Downright amazing the number of players we've lost simply to our own division!!! |

Atlanta Falcons In early March 2007, Horn started negotiations with the Atlanta Falcons. He signed a 4-year, $15 million contract with Atlanta. Later, in 2008, he requested to be traded from the team saying he didn't want to be a "just-in-case guy" for the Falcons.[2] On August 19, 2008, the Falcons cut him.[3] In his only season with the Falcons he made 27 receptions for 243 yards and one touchdown in 12 games. |

It must be some sort of long-term denial...don't know how I forgot Jim Mora letting his offense (Morten Andersen) geaux to Atlanta...
Jim Mora = F*****G M***N! |
I probably shouldn't do this, but going to anyways, of these players we lost or traded, which ones bug you the most?
For me its Archie Manning, Bobby Herbert, Morten Anderson and Sammy Knight. Yours? |
