I've posted a response on nola.com as well but here is what 5 minutes on nfl.com can do to some of the so called evidence. 2009 Giants game, Jacobs did leave the game with an injury in the 2nd quarter but returned in the second half. The problem is the hit that knocked him out of the game was done by Darren Sharper not Roman Harper. Harper did however have a strip sack of Eli Manning which is what I suspect got him the $1000. All you have to do is go to nfl.com and download the gamebook from that game and it gives you play by play and I did this in 5 minutes not 3 months like gotohell's people. Now what else can be disputed if we really look at it.

If you read the responses to the article, you just have to shake your head..... None of the people involved in this witch hunt, are even interested in the truth, or any kind of proof what-so-ever..... They just don't like the Saints, so all the sudden Goodell is the law. Splitting hairs, to suit their own argument, and hatred. I say screw them all. I officially have hatred, for just about every team's fans out there. Name callers, and mud slingers, on their mom and dad's computers, spewing nonsense, just for the sake of it. I know this. The only Saints games I will be attending from now on, will be in the dome, or I won't go. Not worth the aggrivation, and the close minded insults I will have to deal with.... Very sad situation, all the way around.

You pretty much have to get used to the new reality, that people out there are going to freaking HATE on the Saints, from now on until the end of time...I saw one article about Drew, and the reader comments underneath the article were just the nastiest filth imaginable, people hoping he gets his leg broken, or calling him a douchebag, people telling him to shut his mouth, even people were actually saying that he was the one running the bounties and should be suspended for life too...just unbelievable crap they were saying, and remember, this is generally our most-loved player (in terms of nationwide reputation) that they are talking about ...and this was people from all around the country saying it....so like it or not, the Saints and us fans are gonna be considered the lowest of the low, for a long LONG time to come.

Are you kidding me!!! This all sounds like motivational tools which can & probably are used by every team. No where I have seen or heard anything thing which indicates anyone was trying to intentionally hurt opposing players. The sideline video/audio, played on ESPN, doesn't sound any different then what can be heard on any other NFL sideline.
Goodell has taken normal activities & escalated them into something that doesn't exist. Maybe a salary cap violation has occured but not a bounty to injure program. It seems like more talking heads are admitting this may not be the real & total truth being told by Goodell. This morning Adam Scheffter said the 2007 Packers were doing the same thing and no punishments were administered. So what the F! The difference is that now the NFL has lawsuits coming up the ying yang and they are running scared. Goodell has a problem because he chose the wrong team to come after. |
