Saints players believe Hargrove didn’t say “give me my money”
Anthony Hargrove isn’t the only member of the 2009 Saints who believes he didn’t say “give me my money” in the now-infamous sideline video from the NFC title game.
Mike Freeman of CBSSports.com reports that “almost the entire team” believes it wasn’t Hargrove. And the players do believe it was someone else. Saints players believe Hargrove didn |

It's been interesting to me to watch the comments and the "thumbs up" and "thumbs down" on each comment after these almost-daily Mike Florio articles on PFT.
Back when this story first came out, it was around 80-20 with 80% of the comments and readers being overwhelmingly negative comments, wanting to throw the book at the Saints or lock them up in jail, calling them Aints and cheaters and so forth. The only people saying anything about the evidence were mostly people who actually had "Saints" or "WhoDat" type stuff in their screen names. NOW, it's hanging more around 50/50, and while some folks are obviously still hating on the Saints, the comments under these articles are becoming MUCH more balanced, and you can see real instances where people who are not Saints homers are starting to question the evidence and be like, "wait a minute, what is going on here." That is significant. It means that the tide may be turning on this. It's getting interesting out there. |

“Give me my money” could mean a lot of thing just like every bit of evidence Roger has submitted. Whoever it is, they could be referring to the pay increase they receive for making it to the SB. Nobody knows 100%what that player was thinking. It's subjective. If you want it to mean bounty then so be it. I believe it means SB pay increase. Neither of us can prove our point absolutely. This is the landmine RG has been sitting on that I want to see explode right under him.

Absolutely right Beastmode. Don't defensive players get bonuses anyway for sacks and interceptions?? So essentially Goodell is punishing players for doing their job because of some perceived harmful intent.

Nahhh those things are considering doing their job. They "may" have a clause in their contract if they are the interception king, or the sack king (I laughed at that one).... The catch is that those are in their contract and part of the salary cap I do believe... The player to player bonuses are not causing a big stir.

No real money, but hyperbole. |
