Fontenot, 37, is expected to sign a one-year contract and resume his career with the Saints with the understanding that he might play a backup role

Great news! I like Jerrys attitude. As Far as I\'m concerned the more guys like Jerry on a team the better.

Agreed. And I don\'t think his performance last year was near as bad as people make it out to be. He was a pro-bowl alternate for a reason...

I didn\'t know Fontenot was a pro-bowl alternate. To be honest, I don\'t like the idea of Fontenot coming back. I think it just takes up a roster spot that someone else who we may need more could fill.

I really like the idea of Bentley at Center and Montre Holland at guard. That\'s two big mean nasty guys who can really push the pile. One thing I noitced last year is that we got a lot of penatration up the middle . Who\'s fault that was, I\'m not sure.

The depth on our O-line looks impressive...

On Thursday, we congratulated Deuce McAllister and LeCharles Bentley for making the Pro Bowl squad for the NFC. Both of these guys have had a great season and are deserving of the honor. We are also proud of Mitch Berger, Aaron Brooks, Jerry Fontenot, Michael Lewis and Fred McAfee for being chosen as alternates to the game. It is great recognition from their peers, coaches in the league and fans for their hard work.

This makes me very happy. Now I will say that without a doubt, our O-Line SHOULD be better this year.

I like having Fontenot a lot. Veteran leader, great attitude, can still play and play well, and can help younger O-linemen develop, especially if Bentley is playing center.
