Then tell me sir, in your own words/ not a regurgitation, what he is so good at. Is it his supposed run stopping in a pass first league? Or is he so good that they are moving a lb in his spot to get after the passer and trying him at dt? When was the last time Dwight freeney took snaps at dt and was replaced by a lb? It foe sure wasn't in his second season.

Ummm.... They're moving Martez Wilson to right defensive end not left. They're going to move Jordan and Smith inside and put Wilson and Gallette outside on obvious passing downs. That's kind of a famous Spagnuolo scheme that's called the Nascar Package... 4 DE's on the D-Line.

Like I said. He wasn't an elite pass rusher in college. however he was a highly-touted run stopper.

And that's something we need in the NFC South. All our foes still like to run the ball... Keep in mind We couldn't stop Dangelo Williams or Stewart AGAIN last year and Lagarette Blount will improve, if he can stay healthy.

This is Spags' defense now. He needs to evaluate who works best where.

What if he discovered that Malcolm Jenkins is a better CB? Does that make MJ "garbage" in your mind??

I'm not sure what you are insinuating by 'regurgitate'...?

Setting the edge doesn't get headlines. Neither does stopping the run. Those are the strengths that defensive end Cameron Jordan brought to the table when the Saints took him out of Cal late in the first round last year.

Jordan played right up to expectations. He started 15 games and was easily the best run-stuffer on a weak Saints defense. ProFootballFocus ranked Jordan as one of the 10 best run-stopping 4-3 defensive ends in the league. But Jordan was a total non-factor rushing the passer, and that's why he has received more criticism than praise for his rookie season.
Pretty much sums it up. He a LDE and does what they are supposed to do.

Other D-linemen complained about Gregg's scheme not being pass rush friendly for the D-line. I'll be watching Cam with much enthusiasm this year.

DE's also tend to step up their game in their 2nd and 3rd seasons in the league. I'd imagine Cam will too.

I see your point but I think we got ran on because of our lbs.
Don't be offended by the regurgitate...i hate when people quote articles and use that as basis or argument. I just don't see him as a first round de. I hope he proves me wrong

I want this 1st rounder to do more than stop the run, to me a 1st rounder is suppose to do both. I like this guy alot and he was picked high. If we wanted someone to just stop the run we should have picked a DT not a DE.
