I doubt the above statement. I think Changing the rules to make the game more like flag football will push fans away or watching the NFL and Players bicker over how to spread the billions of dollars they rake in.I think most common sense people understand that in a physical sport you ar egoing to have injuries and that is the risk that has to be accepted.

NFL doesn't care about those fans. They figure they already have them in their pocket and aren't going anywhere. They care about the housewives and revenue dollars from cute SB ads. That's where they view their next market and that's where "oh, it's too violent" is a concern. They've got us, they want the other half who pick their teams based on how snazzy the uniform is.

They don't have me. I'm loyal to the Saints and I support them 1000% percent, but if the Saints moved to the CFL I'd start watching the CFL. I love football, and I am near tears (for real) over what Roger is doing. The mess isn't entirely his fault, but the cleanup effort absolutely is. Why won't the owners wake up? The man is in mid-process of destroying an American way of life. For real.

WAKE UP!!!!!!!

It is serious enough that I think the players should strike. They should simply refuse to show up at camp, collateral damage be damned, because, whatever the price for such a tactic, it is far less expensive in short term than to allow Roger Goodell's ego to continue to destroy this game over the next decade. And if left in place, that is precisely what he will do!

Hey! Make sure you don't disrespect the Shreveport Pirates! I was President of the official fan club, The Armada. The Pirates even have an entry in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Those were three awesome years. I met many very good people in the game and will never forget any of it. To this day I have many unique Pirate memorabilia including a CFL football signed by Forrest Gregg, the NFL great, who was the coach.
