Lets see,
Better fundamentals front to back. Better tackling. More disciplined schemes. All weaknesses addressed. It could be a pretty good year for our defense. |

"At the ugly end of the spectrum, Sean Weatherspoon posts the worst ratio among linebackers, missing a tackle for every 7.1 he attempted."
And Lofa Tatupu has the 6th worst tackling efficiency one miss for every 7.9tackles. I apologize for going off topic but I really enjoy pointing out the Falcons suck at any given opportunity. |

I actually agreed with something Jeff Duncan said, for once. I was just getting ready to slam him for saying that Lofton and Hawthorne were among the leaders in missed tackles and failing to realize that when you're getting to the ball more than anyone else, you're probably going to have a few missed tackles... But then Jeff said almost exactly that. I'm amazed.
You never want to miss a tackle, but it is going to happen sometimes. The percentage of tackles made per opportunity is probably very high for those two guys. And Jeff's right, we haven't seen enough of that for a very long time. |
If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, the NFL would fine and suspend me.

32 missed tackles in 3 years.... I hardly see the bad.
That is missing 1 tackle in every 1 1/2 games.... Shanley had that average of missed tackles per quarter. |

Stopping someone before they score would be a nice change.
