Saints Questions: Will Patrick Robinson build on his 2011 season?
He started off the campaign slowly, allowing Green Bay’s Aaron Rodgers to finish with a 158.3 quarterback rating (5-for-5 for 80 yards and one touchdown given up), according to Pro Football Focus.
But he quickly recovered and finished the season, playoffs included, allowing quarterbacks to finish with just a 65.8 rating against him, ninth-best in the NFL for those cornerbacks who played 60 percent of the team’s defensive snaps. He's probably close to being our best CB.

Greer is certainly playing at the top of his game. He's got a few ball hawking years left I believe. This may very well be the tandem that Sean Payton has been looking for since he got here. We've got P Rob.....he's improving also. Hey, we got that kid White too and another veteran(his name escapes me) to play corner as well.
I'm guessing that Spags will put every one of them in before the year is out if they can provide him some athleticism. Rotating bodies in and out with defensive packages is one of Spags strengths from what I understand. I think we usually carry 5-6 CB's on the final roster. We definitely have a decent nucleus of younger players, although I'm hoping to see several UDFA's come in and makie us take notice. We need to get some younger players on the practice squad so they can develop within the system as an emergency back up. Wow. I'm not worried about LB'er or CB right now........it's still hard to believe. |

Greer and P-Rob are going to be a terrific tandem this season. Add to it the fact that Jenkins won't be playing single high safety anymore and be allowed to be more of a ball-hawk and I think our secondary is going to take a big step forward.

Good points Rug and Chris. I'm optimistic about every DB we have except for one, who happens to be one of my favorites... Roman Harper.
He's a classic SS and I fear that he may be placed in a position he's not suited for, namely a zone coverage "left-right" type safety. That would be similar to placing Vilma back in a 3-4. Yeah, he could do it, but he won't excell at it. |

If we get enough pressure upfront, Patrick Robinson will be going to the Pro Bowl.
