this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Deuce is the leader. And hopefully this year he will take charge of the team and the team will follow him cause I know he will lead by example....

deuce is the leader
... can\'t... resist...
Sure, Duece is a leader, but only to a point. It is widely known that he is a fairly quiet guy on the feild - he makes big statements only by making big plays (which he does, and we all love him for it). When he is on, he will inspire others; on his off days though, who will light a fire under the boys? We need someone who can lead with his \"charisma\" too! I\'m glad we\'ve got Duece, but I\'ve become convinced that we need strong leadership (including the characteristics of leadership that Duece lacks) from other players too. Since you have a view on this, who else to you think is a leader on our offense? #26 KICKS AZZ! |

deuce is the leader
This is just my opinion but...
I think Deuce has absolutely ZERO leadership skills. He\'s a great player, but hasn\'t shown me one ounce of leadership skills. Has he gotten in anybody\'s face? Ever? Have you ever seen him rallying the troops? He\'s disappeared down the stretch for 2 years straight. He isn\'t exactly a weight room role model to put it kindly. He pouts when he screws up. He comes to work and does his job, and does it well (most of the time). Is that what makes someone a team leader? Aaron Brooks is twice the leader Deuce McAllister is. |

I agree Danno - Deuce is not the leader.
I also agree with what you said about Aaron. Deuce has zero leadership skills according to you. Aaron has two times that. Two times zero is zero. Aaron has zero leadership ability. I concur. |

deuce is the leader
That was a good catch. I meant he has 10 times the leadership skills that Deuce has! |

I really like Duece and IMO is one of the top running backs in the league.
However, until he gets in Brooks face, when the Saints are losing, and threatens to wipe that smile off Brooks face...I will withhold judgement on his leadership skills. ****************************************************************** Insanity=Keep doing the same thing over, over, and over again and expecting a different outcome! |

Horn is the leader... when he drop passes he can\'t say anthing... lol. RB\'s are typically the followers... Hell they are usually happy to run the ball (give me the damn ball already). Hell they usually don\'t get on someone for blowing a block but will be the first to pat his line on the back when he gets a great run.

I think that either Joe Horn or Darren Howard can be that guy if pressed or if they do decide to finally step up.
