Ithink the saints should try and convert one of the million wr`s to a cb (ie;talman gardner or anyone who wont make it) Because if they don`t make the team at wr then they will just be on the practice squad not doing anything else and he would have the full season to practice at it anyway. I don`t think that it would be that hard to switch because he would already have the knowledge of the wr`s route running plus he is big and fast and can match up with any reciever in the nfl size wise. What do ya`ll think????

I think it takes several years to learn CB, and the skill set isn\'t exactly the same.
WR\'s don\'t need backpedal, quick feet, and hip turn ability nearly as much as CB\'s do. I honestly think an undrafted college CB would be a better NFL CB than any converted WR in this league. It would take them about 3 or 4 years to even become competitive as a CB. Gardner will be a good WR some day, if he stays out of trouble. |
