great commentary...
Apparently the "guaranteed money" can also be highly structures in a step format... It can come in the form of concessions as in yearly goals to meet criteria for guaranteed.. E.G. if your healthy by Feb you get the guaranteed for that year, if you are preforming to a certain level by a certain time frame or able to play you get the guaranteed.. etc.. Andrew did say he has only one criticism of this entire Brees Contract ordeal and that is that the Saints did not stay "in front" of it... They let it drag out and get way too sloppy... He also commented that he gives them kudos for sticking to their plan in-spite of Bountygate, and the other crap that went on this off season. |
