Tired of the scandal?
Maybe this should be a blog, but I don't have the time to make it long enough.
So many people are saying lately how tired they are of this bounty scandal. I suppose its about as played out as Favre Watch, or the passing of Whitney Houston. I hate drama. I could care less which neighbor's wife is sleeping with who, I could care less about almost EVERYTHING on TMZ. But this bounty mess has me intrigued and I'll admit it. Own it, even. There's just so many layers to this onion. The problem is only that I'm not the one peeling it. (I suppose I could incorporate a crying metaphor also, but I'll refrain) This has me on the forums all day long. It's going to keep me here until we find truth. Ok. I have a meeting. My thoughts don't end there. |

i know 1 thing about all this bs, if our backbone slides thru the cracks and don't get signed to a longterm deal to secure our franchize. some heads are goin g to spin. when our investigation starts weeding out the moles in this organization we maybe starting from strach like in 1967. its sinceless we can't needle and thread sew the ***** back together and keep going forward with this org.. please don't take this serious untill after july 16. this would be thebiggest failure of new orleans since 2005.drew bress is not a team but he is a franchize

The thing about the so-called "bounty" scandal to me, is that WE may want it to go away, we may be tired of it, but whether we like it or not, it is NOT going to go away anytime soon -- other fans of other teams and rivals and the media and folks "out there" are NEVER going to let us get over it, for years to come, they will be wagging it in our faces and they are going to continue to spout and spew incorrect/untrue/half-true/distorted/biased/idiotic information about the whole mess, from now until the cows come home. So wanting it to go away is very different from being able to make it go away.
I mean, I'm extremely incredibly pi$$ed off about it, and I'm a very level-headed and rational person. I want to know the absolute truth with NO doubts, before you can convince me to throw this team and organization and this coach under the bus. I also want to run up the score on somebody. I want to shut the talking heads and the critics up, I want to laugh in the faces of the teams facing the Saints; I want Joe Vitt to scare the entire league by being completely focused, driven and half insane, like a wild man with nothing to lose; I want the coaching staff's "arrogance" to piss off Jeff Duncan every week; I want other people to not like it when the Saints win; I want to hear deafening "Who Dat"s in the escalators on Sundays, I want playoff intensity crowd volume on every defensive snap, I want people acting crazy on the ramps, and banging on the metal walls of the Dome so loud that visiting opposing fans get spooked, rattled and just get up and LEAVE before the 3rd quarter ("let's go watch the rest in a bar or a hotel, honey, these people are crazy!"). Anything less than a completely over-the-top response from the fans and coaches next year will be a disappointment for me. |

Whether or not we're tired of it, we shouldn't let it be ignored. Like others here, I'm still angry about the bounty situation and the NFL's supposed "evidence" which appears weaker every day.
Everyone affected should keep fighting, if only to discourage this from happening AGAIN under Goodell's dishonest watch. |
