Mike McKenzie News.
I didn't hear this myself, but, seems several other people heard John Clayton report that Green Bay gave McKenize's agent one week to work a deal to make a trade. Clayton said the Saints were the ONLY serious team that was interested. But, Green Bay wants a first round pick in exchange for McKenzie and we are only willing to part with a third.
Who knows what will happen but I think this deal will get done somehow. We have a need and the money. I know we won't give up a first, but we are deep at some postions and could offer a 2nd and a player. |

3rd round pick & Willie Whitehead sounds good to me.

Mike McKenzie News.
Green Bay
We hear the Packers are not exactly optimistic about the potential of landing a comparable talent or first-round pick in exchange for disgruntled CB Mike McKenzie. McKenzie’s fifth agent in as many years, Drew Rosenhaus, has contacted every team in the league, with a focus on CB-needy teams. One source said Houston, Pittsburgh and New Orleans have shown some level of interest since McKenzie made his initial trade demands last month. The Packers drafted CBs Ahmad Carroll and Joey Thomas with their first two picks in the draft to protect themselves should McKenzie follow through with his holdout threats. http://www.profootballweekly.com/PFW...?mode=nfcnorth |
