Yes, Bush was a disappointment in N.O. But a lot of that was due his being drafted so high and our unrealistic expectations. I think Reggie tried too mhard to live up to those expectations and it really hurt his game. I can understand the criticism because he did drive me crazy with the dancing, fumbles, bad punt returns etc.

But I think many people go over board in their criticism. Reggie was a valuable member of the team and became one the best third down backs in the NFL. He also handled the situation like a man and didn't sulk or become a malcontent.

Best of luck to him where ever he plays and in his future after football.

(And thank the football gods that we got Darren Sproles.)

Agreed Boutte. Reggie had his place on our team. One of the best all-purpose receivers and decoy on any club I've see. I believe he was instrumental in getting us to the SuperBowl because he was part of the Sean Payton MACHINE.

All first-round draft picks are over-hyped and I think there's actually a mental syndrome surrounding most.

Perhaps the dumbest thread ever started on this website.

In case any of you missed it, Reggie Bush is the greatest football player we ever had. Wait.. wait... I realize I might be a little out of line with this comment. Aaron Brooks is the Greatest Football Player we've ever had.

Bush was for sure a big part of winning The superbowl and we can still be thankful to him. But with sproles we found a great replacement for bush. That's all we need: a smart and quick guy who brees can throw the ball to.
