Goodell awfully quiet about arrests

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; But Goodell hasn’t played judge, jury or executioner on any of these dubious black-eye incidents? He’s been invisible, really. Exclamation Goodell awfully quiet about arrests

But Goodell hasn’t played judge, jury or executioner on any of these dubious black-eye incidents? He’s been invisible, really. Twenty-seven arrests. And not a peep. Perhaps the commissioner is letting the court of law (and court of public opinion) play themselves out instead of acting prematurely. Or, perhaps Goodell’s remaining quiet and out of the crosshairs of all things off the field because he’s been busy laying the hammer down on the New Orleans Saints’ on-the-field issues.

Well, there is less risk of lawsuit as opposed to the supposed bounty pay-for-injury situation.

I was going to ask what would happen if a DUI player, Lynch), hit and killed a pedestrian; Then I remembered Donte Stallworth already did exactly that AND STILL GOT TO PLAY!!

And he only got under a year in jail for it, most people would be looking at 5-10 years for manslaughter

Maybe normal people arent rich enough

Small potatoes compared to a multi-billion dollar class action, brought on by multiple ex players with brain or contact related injury, I suppose.

He's been awfully quiet since the March ESPN inverview. I can't find one interview, just general statements written by his lawyers. I think his days of speaking to journalists are pretty over.

This is why Vilma, the NFLPA, and the fans HAVE to keep the whole thing going. Roger is banking on it just going away. This cannot be allowed to happen. This is the perfect time to push for a change to the way he does business.

Whew! I thought some Saints were busted when I first read the title. Why the hell would rg be talking about wrongdoing by players from some other team? Still, them doing that'll get Sean another year's vacation somehow, some way.

If I was Sean Payton and the NFL told me I had to sit out another year, for whatever reason, I'd leave pro football for the single biggest job in college football and wait for this tyrant Goodell to finally get CANNED by the NFL or forced into jail.
