Devery Henderson: New Orleans Saints camp casualty?

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Devery is not going anywhere. Come season opener, he will be starting opposite side of Colston. Plus with Meachem gone, he is pretty much the only proven deep threat on the team....

Adrian Arrington would be gone before devery was even considered

Devery has turned into a very good WR

No way, but It'll be interesting to see if the Saints re-sign him come next offseason - will he be looking for a Meachem type of a deal or will he give the Saints "hometown discount" in order to stay in the Saints' offense?

Poor Devery. His name always seems to come up as a possible training camp cut ever year. Yet he always does enough to earn his place on the team.

That's true- good point. Of course, for his first 3 years reports of his demise were valid

I think Devery will be getting something "respectable" as far as a contract goes, next year. Nothing that will break the bank. He knows what happens to WR who leave Drew and this team. One name comes to mind; Stallworth.

With Payton here a maybe. Without Sean no drastic changes or cuts.

We're not gonna miss miss Meachem...

But too much transition at any skill position can wreak havoc on timing for that particular squad...
