Honestly, the bare minimum to make me HAPPY this year, is really pretty simple... I just want to see the Saints freaking RUN UP THE SCORE on some people, to go bat-%^$ crazy, and open multiple cans of whoopass on everything in sight -- players, refs, Goodell, the lamestream media, everybody. I want the Saints to not just be opening the cans of whoopass, I want to see them shaking up the cans, poking holes in them and SHOTGUNNING the whoopass. BEER BONGING the whoopass!
I want to be the team (and the rabid, insane fan base) that no one in their right mind wants to face....that will make me happy We saw this in the Super Bowl year -- teams that lost to the Saints would get a "hangover" that would last 2, 3, even 4 games after they played us. Remember that? I want that again. I want the Saints to crush other teams' dreams in a pile of 40 and 50 burgers, or steal close games, and leave opponents demoralized and bewildered as to what just happened to them at the final gun. Leave them crying like babies as our players proudly pose for pictures on their midfield logo. In some ways, this year is kinda like a freebie to me, like playing with house money... no one's ever done this before, no team has had this happen to them, can't do anything about it, no Payton, so why not just go all out for broke, as a fan. Savor the adversity. Half the world thinks we're evil people, and the other half thinks we're crazy, for supporting this team right now. Well, why not give the world a show! If ever there was a year besides 2006 for fans to just cut loose and go crazy and have fun, THIS is it. Of course I want to win it all! But anything to PI%^ off Goodell and the league and all the media talking heads, and the Falcons and the Panthers and the fans of other teams who think the Saints are gonna be a pushover this year, I'm down with it. If we can just get into the playoffs I think all betting odds will suddenly swing wildly in our favor. |

I believe we can win, it could happen. But, I think it's going to be a lot more difficult than most of you seem to think. We are without our leader, plain and simple. I understand there is a culture that's been created, but no Payton, in my opinion is a HUGE loss. A Huge Loss.
It's going to be very difficult. Looking forward to seeing how it plays out. |

We are the most talented team in the NFL, with a top 3 QB.
Of course we can win it all, barring key or excessive injuries. But there are 4 or 5 other teams that have enough talent to beat us if they get a lucky bounce or two. I'll be disappointed if we don't go past round 1 of the playoffs, but anything can happen after that. |

Anything less than a Super Bowl is a failure. Every team that does not win the Super Bowl is a loser. I dont care what the record is as long as we win the Super Bowl. I dont care if we are 9-7 and turn it on during the playoffs to go all the way. I think we CAN win the Super Bowl, but without a HC and with all the adversity it is going to be tough.

Its all relative to the fans perspective. Before we ever one a playoff game, when we finally won our first we all felt like we have one the Super Bowl. We have achieved the ultimate goal since then and now nothing else will do. Once you have been to the top it is actually a short fall back down to earth.
