Atlanta dismantled some of their defense and let their coordinator go. Many agree with me that their defense was scrappy and a stronger point. They've improved their defensive back field but their d-line and lb's will be weak.
Tampa Bay is in rebuilding. They have a long road ahead and most don't expect them to contend for the division this year (either).
Carolina will be improved as Cam Newton is a stronger pocket QB than most give him credit for.
I still do see how other teams in our division have improved to cause you to lose optimism.
We DO have a tough schedule. I think I'm more concerned with out of conference matches than inner-conference right now.

IF for no other reason Tampa got a new coach that the team will rally around. Atlanta has a new D coordinator just like us and it is hard to assume that we will get better under Spags but they won't get better under theirs. There secondary is much improved. Julio Jones will be better in his second year. Like it or not he is a hell of a player. Carolina has gotten key players healthy and will be a lot better on defense this year. Unless Cam has a sophomore slump he will improve and like you said he is a stronger pocket QB than people think. Plus if with our defensive backfield (which doesn't have a lot of depth) doesn't improve a hell of a lot, he has the potential of giving us fits. Yea we can still win the division, but we have more going against us than any other team in our division. Oh and there is that head coach thing.
