this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I'd like to see the whole team take a vow of silence this season but due to many stupid NFL rules, that isn't going to happen...

All they do is fine you if you don't make yourself available for media...If I was Benson I would tell all players and coaches to refuse any interviews and he'll foot the bill for any fines this season. F@#$ the media....

An agreement by the players and coaches to give them a "No Comment" or "That's a good question, but I have no response", or just plain slience (just stare back at them). would satisfy the "available to media" requirement". The clause states they have to "be available to the media", not have to speak to the media. The right to Free Speech also includes the right NOT TO SPEAK. That non-act would do more than any other action(s) by the players, coaches, and organization. |
