This will look very much like a regular season game on offense. On defense we might look kind of shaky to start.

Ok people please resist the "why are they playing so vanilla" comments and dont freak out if we look like **** during these games. Every year I see people panic over pre season games. ALSO for all of you guys who are concerend about our offenses rough start and interceptions thus far in camp. Last year our offense looked pretty bad in camp too and we all know how the rest of the year turned out.

I'll never say ignore the way we look in preseason again.

We can't afford to lose any this season. I say strong, steady and stay the course all the way to our final TD at the Super Bowl. It'll take a minute to regroup, but I say we are ready for the Cards. Hopefully we learned from the 49er's game and have expanded our O and tightened our D.
My Saints vintage gold tee is washed and folded and the Muffalettas will be ready. I'm looking foward to some more of that 60 points per game from last season, like only those Sexxay Saints can do. |

I can only hope to be near a sports bar with the NFLN on, otherwise I'll be listening to the radio feed on Sirius. That aside, I figure 1st qtr for the starters then go to the back ups and newbies. It'll be good to see/hear our guys in action again and while you cant draw too many conclusions from preseason, you can get a feel for where your team is. Especially when both sides have their 1st teams out on the field.

I've always hated pre-season, but this year, after all the offseason drama, I'm actually looking forward to watching a bunch of no names flying around and having no clue what they're doing, and also watching the starters play five minutes of not giving a crap... Yep, this year pre-season is a beautiful thing.
I'm not looking forward to the every 30 seconds referencing to bountygate that is sure to come. But if the Saints play the way we all expect this year, those people will learn to shut it. |
