New Orleans Saints rookie DT Akiem Hicks ready to return
Defensive tackle Akiem Hicks, recovering from a fractured hand, said Thursday he is ready to return to action and has been told he will play Sunday in the Saints first preseason game against the Arizona Cardinals. "I've been waiting to get back to contact for so long and it's finally here," said Hicks, the club's third round draft pick in last April's NFL draft.

As highly recruited as he was by LSU, he's gotta have the potential to be great!

DT has been a sore spot for us for a long time... hope this kid turns out to be a good one. His level of competition was so much lower in Canada that I'm a little worried about how he will read to the speed of the game in the NFL.
