Im excited

After what has be THE worst offseason in my entire life, it is great to have football back. I spend each day of the offseason counting the days to the first day of camp. At least then we start getting football news and its all uphill from there. Here we are FINALLY. Even though it is a glorified practice its gonna be good to see them suited up on the field. Any particular position you guys are most excited to watch?

Deep threat. Devrey and Meech were averaging over 17 yds a catch combined. I want to see someone own Meech's old spot.

Who do you think fits that mold the best? Morgan? I saw today where he burned someone in practice but just couldn't come up with the ball.

I'm interested in seeing it all. But if I had to choose one unit, it would be the defensive line.

The defensive line has been just flat out bad for a long while now. Last year the Saints got credit for he 12th rated rushing defense but that’s just a misleading stat. The real reason they ranked as high as they did was because they had the fewest rushes against. The truth of the matter is they gave up 5.0 yards per attempt. That’s absolutely horrible. That tied them with two other teams for the second worst rush/attempt average in the league. Only the Raiders were worse, giving up 5.1 yards per rush. I don’t expect the Saints to improve to a top 5 defense but as far as run stopping goes, but I’d like them to improve to at least average. That could give the offense some breathing room when they’re not clicking like what happened in St. Louis last year, when they gave up 183 yards on the ground. And despite all the blitzing Gregg Williams did, the Saints also got the fewest quarterback pressures in the league last year. People like to point out the falcons terrible pass rush last year but they got the same number of sacks as the Saints with 60% more quarterback pressures. You can’t short your pass coverage and not get some pressure on the quarterback. That’s just a recipe for disaster.

With the addition of Bunkley and Hicks and all the hype about Wilson playing up on the line and the improvement of Cam, I'm hoping that unit can become something better than the turn-styles in fleur di lis' they've been for a years now. I think that's gonna be Spagnuolo's biggest challenge.

I have high hopes for Cam and the front 4 as a whole. I think Cam has a pro bowl year. All reports I have heard are that he is head and shoulders above where he was last year. I think not having TC last year really stunted the production of a lot of our rookies and players as a whole.

D, Morgan I believe is the fastest. He did have an off day but he has also had more good ones from what I've read. I think it will be a mix of him and AA in preseason. I hope it's Morgan. I've honestly seen enough of AA.

We all know what our offense can do

I want to see Mark Ingram's progress through, reports are he's having a real good camp, reading holes bursting through and being physical.

Defense!!!!

Our D line hasn't got consistent pressure for a while, I want to see what Spags has been teaching them

I want to see martez beast an O lineman!!

I want to see solid tackling from the LB's and most of all, When we get our hands on passes defensively, catch the damn thing!!!

I'm excited to see the defense working under the new scheme
