I hope this isn't conditional upon a confession.

I would not be surprised. I think the bounty thing in itself is not going to get Goodell fired. But the scab officials looked TURRIBLE out there tonight. The bounty thing + officials strike + flawed CBA is going to be his undoing, with the owners who sign his paycheck. Something has to give, and Vilma's lawsuit is a lot easier than the other two problems for Goodell to solve. Saints fans tend to think he's on the hotseat for what Goodell did with the bounty thing, but it's really all of it put together. I would not be surprised if something is worked out on the Vilma thing to make it go away.

If Vilma didn't put $10,000.00 on the table to anyone that could knock Kurt Warner and Brett Favre out of the game, then I hope Vilma fights it to the bitter end. That's a pretty ugly thing Goodell said about him and if it's not true he shouldn't get away with it.
Course it's easy for me to sit on my couch and say that. He loses 2.8 million dollars this year and possibly end his career, even if he wins. |

Well... Consider the source too. ESPN has to make amends, maybe? I say show us the money!
