NFC South Strategic Tendencies: New Orleans Saints
The New Orleans Saints are coming off a very successful 2011 season, having finished 13-3 and in first place of the NFC South. During last season, the Saints finished 5-1 in the division, with the lone loss coming to the Buccaneers in Week 6 at Raymond James Stadium.
After a tumultuous offseason, the Saints will be without HC Sean Payton, their offensive play caller, as well as MLB Jonathan Vilma for the entire 2012 campaign. In addition, the Saints will also be ushering in new Defensive Coordinator Steve Spagnuolo, while OC Pete Carmichael will take over play calling. So while the Defensive Tendencies may change, the Saints Offense will likely retain much of the qualities it did last season. NFC South Strategic Tendencies: New Orleans Saints - Cat Scratch Reader |
Exactly! Blitz Brees so PT and Sproles can burn you on the screen... PLEASE!
"When it's all said and done, the Saints have an extremely potent Offense and a less than desirable Defense. Even with the suspensions, the Saints should be a playoff contender in 2012." We do not have to beat the bear.... just outrun the slowest guy. |
The first and most important strategy is securing the #1 seed heading into the playoffs.

I didn't finish it. I didn't know what the hell he was talking about half the time. What's a 21 grouping?

Falcons fans believe the division is theres at 10-11 wins.
If it is, it would be because Brees went down or some miracle happened. I think out of the division, the Falcons is going to regress a good bit based off the fact they want to copy the Saints as much as possible and it backfires on them when they try to do it. Under 10 wins is what I see from Atl. The other 2, Carolina and Tampa, thats a work in progress, depends on what they do this preseason, I am not counting one of them out from challenging the Saints for the division, I think though Atl is the odd team out from doing it this season. |
