On the Running Back Position:
Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Michael Pittman was suspended by the NFL without pay for three games and fined an additional two games' pay Tuesday for violating the league's personal conduct policyThe running back's suspension begins Sept. 12, when the Bucs open the regular season at Washington. He will miss the Sept. 19 game against the Seahawks. He is eligible to return Sept. 27, the day after Tampa Bay faces the Oakland Raiders in Week 3.On the increasingly sharp work of Charlie Garner, who is recovering from a 2003 injury:“I think if you asked the defensive guys they’d agree that he’s a different kind of back. He’s very quick, very sudden and the changing gears and cutting and accelerating are parts of his style that we need. The quicker he regains it fully, the better, but he has made great strides in the last month since he’s been here", said Coach Gruden.

On the Wide Receiver Position: WR Sylvester Morris could miss his fourth consecutive season after hurting his previously-healthy left knee on Tuesday. Joe Jurevicius was held out of mini camp as he is still recovering from a knee injury from last year. "We’ve got Michael Clayton working very hard as a flanker [and we’re] very excited about what he’s doing, he and Joey Galloway", said Gruden. No longer the No. 2 receiver in Tampa Bay's offense, Keenan McCardell wants to be paid like a No. 1. The two-time Pro Bowl selection, a no-show for the Buccaneers' voluntary workouts this spring, is sitting out a mandatory three-day minicamp that began June 22 because he wants a raise after catching 84 passes for 1,174 yards last season with a career-high eight receiving touchdowns.
