I think you shouldn\'t try and post that junk here and pass it off as fact when it\'s purely your opinion...thats what I think. You\'re guessing...reaching...for anything you can to try and make your point. The FACT is that we\'ve got a pretty darn good record with AB at the helm. The coaches like him...the players like him. I\'m sayin that because THATS WHAT THEY SAY...anything else is pure speculation. Speculation...meaning you\'re guessing...and quite honestly it\'s not even an educated guess. Far as I can tell you\'re just throwing a bunch of stuff against the wall to see if something sticks.

Have you heard anyone on the Saints team say AB wasn\'t a leader? Can you quote someone? Oh...of course they wouldn\'t say it out loud if they thought it. YOU must know because...hmmmm...how, exactly, WOULD you know?

I\'d agree with that, but you didn\'t answer the question. Where did you hear all that junk you\'re posting? Maybe you were dreaming and thought it was real. It\'s ok to admit it man. The first step in recovery is to admit you have a problem!

Tell ya what...just nevermind. If you\'d really like to answer, the question is this:

Have you heard anyone on the Saints team say AB wasn\'t a leader? Can you quote someone? Oh...of course they wouldn\'t say it out loud if they thought it. YOU must know because...hmmmm...how, exactly, WOULD you know?

There...I pasted it in from an earlier post. You couldn\'t/wouldn\'t answer it then so I\'m not expecting any flashes of brilliance now. It\'s foolish of me to think you\'ll ever change your mind about AB. You never really answer when people in here question your wildly unfounded non-factual ravings about our Q anyway...I don\'t expect today to be any differnt than any other in that regard.

I\'m diggin my own grave here, but I just can\'t help but ask you one more. Are you gonna lobby for J.T. next year if Jake leaves? :P

Lobby for J.T. ?? No.

J.T. has not shown the courage , strength or the leadership yet capable of handling himself in an NFL huddle . Delhomme has , and with the ability to earn my respect .

I will use a Haslett Quote to try and prove my point , In the 4th quarter against the Ravens the line broke down and no receiver was open Jake took off running with some scrambling and dove for the first down . Haslett later asked Jake \" What were you doing ? White me can\'t run . \" Jake did not think he only saw and knew he needed to get the first . I will paste for you .

Delhomme hit on 7 of 8 passes for 103 yards. In a 74-yard drive that resulted in a John Carney field goal to put the Saints ahead 30-17. He did it with his arm, his head and his legs on a six-yard scramble that kep the drive alive.

“The guy hit me and I don’t know how I did it to be honest, said Delhomme. “Haslett teased me later when I tried to keep it. He said, ‘You’re a white guy, you can’t run.’ There was a wide open hole and I was able to dive and get a first down.

If memory serves me well : Jake is 3-1 in games he has been in . He has won the World Bowl . This will draw some criticism , but I have spent time studying Montana over the past years to see why that 40 whiner team was what it was , Jake has alot of the same presence that Montana had in San Francisco .

If you get the chance , watch Jake at the line . If he see\'s something he does not like he moves players around and audibles out . Brooks does not , he calls time out ....

Brooks is talented , so was Everett. It is the unchartable quality and understanding of the game that makes a player great . Montana was nothing like Brooks in size ,strength and ability , yet he was great .

I would assume that public bashing of the Quarterback is about a $ 100,000 fine . Try to remember , Haslett has one of the heaviest fine programs in the NFL . Ricky was always getting fined for something . Although I have heard Horn say they needed to get the ball more to him , I wonder who he was punching at ??

I don\'t think anyone on this board needs to be convinced Jake is a good player and a luxury as a backup...best in the league...no argument. As Haz has said, he could start for SOME teams. I also don\'t know of a talented receiver that doesn\'t want the ball...none of this correlates to AB not being the leader of this team, and nothing you have typed answeres the question(s):

Have you heard anyone on the Saints team (coaches or players) say AB wasn\'t a leader? Can you quote someone?

Don\'t attempt to answer it by speculation or by changing the subject. Have you heard anyone say it? Yes/No

If yes, can you Quote someone? Yes/No

If yes then who said it?

I will make a few post cuts for you and you can decide . These will be from varied sources , sports writers and such .

Brooks\' improved leadership skills could end being the key this season, according to Fontenot.
To improve , you would have to say there was at one point a lack .

Q: How would you assess QB Aaron Brooks\' play this season?

Haslett: \"The last two games he took a step backward, but I still think he\'s going to be a great quarterback. He was running for his life the last couple games. He\'ll still be a good quarterback. It is tough for a young kid to be a leader. You would like to have your quarterback be the vocal leader. But first year starting, the guy is trying to take care of himself and get everything down. It would be tough to have him run the whole offense. But he will grow into that leadership roll as he goes here \"

Going to be a leader would indicate , not one yet . From last year .

Would Haslett be enough for you ?????

The Saints brass feel he can make the jump to an elite NFL QB by showing better leadership and decision making skills. They will encourage him to run when the opportunity presents itself, as only McNair, McNabb, and Culpepper are in his class as a running QB. With Jeff Blake gone to Baltimore, Brooks can be confident in knowing this is his team and he will not get yanked. Jake Delhomme takes over as the back-up despite not having taken a regular season snap in 2 seasons. Coaches like Delhomme\'s fiery style and LB mentality.

Cannot tell you who the Brass are but they figured he needed better leadership skills .

Tell me exactly how far back did you have to go to find that stuff...obviously one of those (the Haz quote) was from LAST YEAR. You know my Girlfriend has that problem too. Everytime we get into an argument she\'ll bring up something from LAST YEAR...just can\'t let it go ya know? Sound familiar?

Here are a few more recent quotes (from this year) you might enjoy:

Haslett: \"Not too many teams will throw a young kid in there and rely on him to win games,\" Saints coach Jim Haslett said. \"We did it [with Aaron] last year and it backfired a little bit at the end of the year, but it was a growing process for him. I think the big thing is the players voted Aaron a captain this season, which says a lot for a guy who has been here a little over two years. It says a lot that a 26-year-old quarterback is the captain of your football team.\"

How about one from Fontenot (FROM THIS YEAR)

Fontenot: Said center Jerry Fontenot, a 14-year veteran: \"You can\'t believe what a cool cat Aaron was in the huddle. He never blinked.\"

I\'ll even throw in a little from Mike McCarthy (FROM THIS YEAR)

McCarthy: \"If he continues to play at this level, we\'re going to win a lot of games,\" offensive coordinator Mike McCarthy said. \"He\'s a winner, but he has proven that since he first came to play here.\"

Surely you remember Kyle Turley ripping off that helmet and tossing it across the field. He said, as I recall, something to the effect that he wasn\'t going to let someone do that to his QB. Would he have gone to such lengths for somebody he didn\'t respect? Probably not, but I guess we\'d have to ask him.

Now, I\'ll ask you again...but let me also ask that you not venture back into the stone ages for your info...WHO among the Saints coaches and players has said AB wasn\'t the leader of this team? Remember, I\'m not asking if anyone suggested he might have room to grow...at his age I would certainly hope he has room to grow...I\'m asking you who said he was not the leader. Who said he wasn\'t capable of shouldering the load? And again I\'ll ask you...don\'t try and prove your point with insinuations or speculation. PROVE what you say it true beyond being just your opinion.

I\'ll finish with one more from Haz (FROM THIS YEAR)

Haslett: \"This is a great deal for Aaron and the Saints,\" coach Jim Haslett said. \"Both parties wanted to get his contract extension finished so Aaron could concentrate solely on football. He has really worked hard to get ready for this year and he has emerged as our LEADER. This is a positive move for the franchise as we prepare for this season.\"

I\'m just not sure what else I can possibly do to make you understand. It\'s your opinion for sure, and we all have \'em, but please post your opinion as such rather than insinuate what you think is FACT when in reality it isn\'t. That\'s all.
