The only reason Shanle is still a Saint is because we've failed to bring in anyone better. Until that happens I'm all for keeping him on the roster. On the other hand, since no one has been able to beat him out it appears our front office and scouting department doesn't know jack squat about NFL linebackers. |

However if Chamberlain does not beat him for the spot then something is going on behind the scene with Shanle. Chamberlain rates out better than Shanle in every aspect of the game (if you compare last years PFF scouting reports). Chamberlain started for Spags and knows the system better than anyone on the team right now. If you remember correctly Shanle got beat out for his starting position in 2010 during the Preseason, however Casialls injured himself in the last game. |
