Like the giants,,, remember how that turned out? Ryans a pure timed pocket passer, we have been saying this for years. Knock him off his mark and he losses it. |

Romos is a little different because its further down field, Ryan though is more of the short passer. Time after time, Ryan forces the ball to 1 player too much. Usually if it wasnt for Tony G, things would be alot worse. Romo does this just as much if not more. I think it comes down to Ryan not reading defenses and unloading the ball to a WR/TE that he should of not beee trying to get the ball to. |

2011 NFL Leaders and Leaderboards - Pro-Football-Reference.com Ive more seen Romo as a gunslinger. More of the Farve type, but I understand where you are going with this. They both follow mental patterns when they panicked. Like farve in 2009. Your are right Ryan always tries to hit Tony when he looses it. Problem is, TG is good and made him look good, and I can remember when we could not cover him, but now we can. We know Ryan is a timed pocket passer. Granted if the right team was around him, he could win. But Ryan is not someone that can pull this off on his own like a Brady or PM, or even Rivers. He just doesnt have that ability. He cant do it without a team, like Smith, only Ryan is way better than Smith. Im not seeing the team he needs in Atlanta, are you? for 1 Ryan needs a better OL than we have to succeed. A defense at top 5. A run game at top 5, and White not being the leader in drops in the NFL. Its just common sense. If Ryan is not "Comfortable" he can't do it. |
Saints proved that pigs could fly in 2009.
Now its time for another miracle SuperBowl and go where no pig has gone before. ![]() Last edited by pherein; 08-11-2012 at 12:41 AM.. |

I dont know if this has ever been covered, But I question what kind of stats does Ryan have when he has had to throw 25-30 times a game or more? I know I have seen some games like this and I believe his Comp % is somewhere in the 50s, dont quote me on that though. With that said, I think some players are playing short a full deck of cards to, most people was ready to say Roddy White is a top WR in the NFL, I am not even sure hes the top WR on his own team. This is an argument I have made over time as it relates to the Julio Jones draft choice now. The argument is this, why did they draft Julio Jones when Roddy White is pretty much the same breed as Jones? You dont hardly see White as a route runner, hes a down field Gunner, every play you see him make is this with the exception being the red zone on some occasions, this is why Tony G has so many TDs though, because no one but him gets open in the red zone, but this is what they drafted Julio Jones for was a gunner, which made absolutely no sense, now you got 2 deep threats and a QB who cant throw over 40 yards. I dont know who their other WR is, I guess its Harry Douglas, hes someone who has done nothing outside his Rookie season. If Tony G declines or decides to hang it up, they are in deep doo doo. |

He's kind of an all-around reciever. I think Roddy is the BEST reciever on our team and one of the greatest in the league right now. Only Wes Welker had more catches than him last season. Harry Douglas is actually a good route runner. We saw some very good flashes of brilliance last year by him.
