Elway, Montana to square off in flag football game

DENVER — Legendary quarterbacks John Elway and Joe Montana will face off at Invesco Field at Mile High in August, but this time they'll be wearing flags instead of pads.

Elway and other former Denver Broncos stars will play Montana and a team of former NFL stars on Aug. 20 in a flag football game to commemorate Elway's induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.


His formal induction will be Aug. 8 in Canton, Ohio.

Elway was the winningest quarterback in NFL history with 148 victories in a 16-year career. He played in five Super Bowls, winning the last two.

Montana was inducted into the hall in 2000 after a career with the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs.

Personally I think watching the Victoria Secrets models take on the Fredericks of Hollywoods models in a game of touch football would be more interesting but someone may watch it .....
