Per WWL.
Got the text just now. Someone should be held accountable for the false report. NEW ORLEANS -- Louisiana State Police investigators have found no evidence that the New Orleans Saints or general manager Mickey Loomis rigged Superdome wiring so opposing coaches' radio communications could be intercepted. "This has been an intensive investigation, and after numerous interviews we have determined that there is no evidence that state laws have been violated," State Police Col. Mike Edmonson said Monday after meeting with Saints owner Tom Benson in New Orleans to brief him on the status of the probe. No evidence of New Orleans Saints wiretapping, say police - NFL.com Thanks for the link QB. |

Re: State police find no evidence of wire tapping
SOSDD. In the NFL a player would get 15 yards for piling on!
The dirtbag who reported this nonsense, walks the streets with no consequence. There is no justice to smearing a persons good name. NOTE; see VILMA vs. NFL as another great example. Ok, meh I will calm down now! :) |
Re: State police find no evidence of wire tapping
I'm totally surprised by this finding.

Re: State police find no evidence of wire tapping
I'm glad to hear this news. What I read last week lead me to believe the investigation would continue, which wouldn't be good. If this proves the allegations were 100% false, AT VERY LEAST, ESPN needs to report as such, and issue a public apology...If not more!!!

Re: State police find no evidence of wire tapping
Good question. Did ESPN report on this?

Truthseeker69 Good Job ESPN. You plaster this all over the front page and then you give it the brush off "non-story" treatment? GREAT reporting. /sarcasm If I were Loomis I'd sue you people into the ground. |
Re: State police find no evidence of wire tapping
Hey Roger Goatdell did you see this ! You ain't got nothing on the SAINTS !!!

Re: State police find no evidence of wire tapping
One more accusation disproved. Not that it matters in the court of public opinion. Those evil Saints are guilty of something...........and I'm going to prove it!

Re: State police find no evidence of wire tapping
Unfortunately you won't hear John Barr go on TV and admit he was wrong. All the clowns who wrote articles throwing us under the bus won't man up. I'll be surprised if this even gets a segment on Sportscenter. Everyone loves to be quick to jump to conclusions and pile on the Saints but when the information is false no one defends us. Oh well, glad we were cleared of these charges.

Re: State police find no evidence of wire tapping
It won't be on primetime news because it was announced on ESPN at 552PM.
No one will bring it up on that network because it makes them look bad. |

Re: State police find no evidence of wire tapping
Adam Shefter on ESPN Monday Night Countdown just reported they had no evidence, but it was a far cry from an "apology"...

Stick that in your pipe and smoke it !

Re: State police find no evidence of wire tapping
BIG surprise... NOT!!!
The National Inquirer of Sports fails miserably AGAIN! |
Re: State police find no evidence of wire tapping
Remember this?
Random, I know. It's one of those things that kind of came to mind for no reason and I was wondering what ever came of those allegations. I remember when this was a story. ESPN did a quite a job of kicking a great team and its fan base when it was down. Why wasn't ESPN held accountable for this? Okay, returning from left field. |
Re: State police find no evidence of wire tapping
Well no kidding
I know he's a little busy at the moment but Loomis should sue ESPN and that hack reporter |

Re: State police find no evidence of wire tapping
Disgruntled employees don't have a good track record when it comes to telling the truth. They're either trying to make a buck, lessen their own chargers or, create a false attack for retribution. There are half a dozen of these clowns regarding the Saints and all of them have been debunked. I hope Landry or whatever his name is finds himself forced to watch our SB from a jail cell this year.
