Will the Bucs be back?
Some shrewd offseason spending and a renewed hunger have Tampa Bay back in the running
By Trent Modglin (tmodglin@pfwmedia.com) July 1, 2004 Remember when the Buccaneers were the talk of the NFL? They were loaded with personable sorts, brash and boisterous, a dominant defense, a charismatic, camera-friendly coach and the distinct look of a mini-destiny waiting to happen. Yeah, that was a whole year ago. A year and a half since their dominating performance over the Raiders in Super Bowl XXXVII, Jon Gruden’s former employers, the Buccaneers seem like the team the NFL forgot. Ask any football fan to mention the league’s top five teams, perhaps even 10, and how many times do you figure to hear Tampa Bay? Not many, is my guess. want to see how the bucs might return to the top? click here: http://profootballweekly.com/PFW/NFL...glin070104.htm |
