New Orleans Saints defense gains upperhand again in Wednesday practice

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I really hope they keep Tanner around. I really see a lot of potential in him and I think they should keep Cadet around too....

its kind of odd with the defense the way it is that is even allowing guys like Cadet and Tanner to emerge as stars, Tanner has been on the PS for 2-3 years it seems. Roby as well who has been with us for 3-4 years and never really shined as a WR until now.

I'm so psyched to see our defense this year!! And no, I don't have any concerns whatsoever about our offense. They're practicing against a totally different defensive scheme... and let's not forget that it was Spagnuolo's defense that handed us an embarrasing loss last year against the Rams. Which in reality is why Sean wanted Spags on our side.

They're just trying to make Mike Smith feel good so he actually brings his boys here to play.

Re: New Orleans Saints defense gains upperhand again in Wednesday practice

Quite a few members of the defense have been practicing against the same offense day after day for a while now. It makes sense they have a pretty good grasp of what tendencies and plays come out of what formations.

Both sides of the ball will have their good/bad days, but the only thing that counts is the score of 16 games to get to the post-season.

The whole team's focus should be focusing and getting better for those 16 games - one at a time. Right now there is nothing after those 16 games that count, but...

"Move along, nothing to see here" - YET!

What is it about Spags? He just has a way of dumbfounding quarterbacks... Drew probably has flashbacks of last years Rams' game daily...

Which in turn will make Drew better.

Those guys emerged as star potential in the preseason games... this may have justified more action in practice.
