Re: Loomis has high expectations for Saints with suspension nearing
I've said from the day Sean Payton was suspended for the year that we would feel it in the win/loss column. He's the head coach, a very strong one, and the glue that binds this team together.
I don't feel strongly about the offense play style being the difference maker as much as the little things that happen during a game. Like when to play players, time-out control, game pacing, when to run a trick play or not, and when to rally troops etc. Sean Payton is a master at turning the tide of a game and a season. He's up there with the best coaches when it comes to risk and decision-making during a game. These "details" and intangibles could be the difference between a 6 or 8 win season and a 10 or 12 win season. Just my opinion, and I hope I'm wrong and this does not come true. |
