Yep... Every LB we brought in to re-vamp the position is hurt now. All we can hope for is that Lofton can be back by week 1. I'm hoping that Casillas can stay healthy enough to fill in for Hawthorne at WLB if he needs to.

My memory isn't what it used to be, but I don't remember everyone freaking out as much in previous years about minor training camp injuries.

It was practically suicide watch 2 weeks ago about our CB's, now LB's.

I believe the only serious injury we had was Chamberlain, who was a likely back-up/ST player anyway.

I mean it's a blow, but some of these players are slated to return by first regular season game. You're right, the only season-ending injury has been to Chamberlain.

Luckily we have the scrimmage period or Preseason.

I believe the Saints knew about Romon Humber's 3 game suspension before he was re-signed with the team.

They definitely knew...that was why they signed so many LBs in a bunch, all at once like that. Because they already knew that some of them were going to be out for periods of time, and Vilma was doubtful to be there at all. The recent injuries just made them switch to plan B, that's all. You could tell by the speed at which this happened, that they had this Ruud guy in their Rolodex already, they knew he was just a phone call away.

Here's to hoping Ruud has something left in the tank. Perhaps a victim of scheme in Tennessee and Seattle? I'm not familiar w what those clubs run, but I seem to remember hearing his name a lot whenever we would play the Sucs, and I was surprised they just let him walk. Although his play the past couple of seasons certainly legitimizes that move : /
