Officiating and Injuries
Haven't been able to to spend much time watching the preseason games so I thought I'd ask. Anyone think the gawd awful officiating is contributing to the injuries occurring around the league? I don't have anything solid, just a feeling, but it seems like more than a few even big names are going down early.

Re: Officiating and Injuries
Definitly that. The absence of two a days and no live tackling leads to injury. The players need live hits to get their bodies used to taking hits It limbers up their muscles and tendons and body as a whole. When they go from touch practicing straight into live games where they tackle with 100% effort people are going to get hurt because of lack of conditioning.

Re: Officiating and Injuries
I've seen instances of late whistles where I thought that the refs could have caused an injury by being tentative.

Re: Officiating and Injuries
Let's add a hypothetical: Say a marquis (non-Saints) player gets injured due to an obvious flubbed call by one of roger's rasty refs. Would it worth that player's while to sue him because he could've settled this thing much earlier and had qualified refs on the field who would have stopped the play earlier, or whatever preventing the injury?

I hope they get these new refs out of here. They have been horrible. I honestly can't stand them, they have been doing a horrible job

Re: Officiating and Injuries
I agree, just havent had time to dig in to it... The defense knowing the refs will miss a lot of calls will push the limits...
