Don't go to ACME. Acme is to New Orleans what Sbarro is to NYC. Total tourist trap and the oysters are only so-so plus you have to wait in a monster line. If you want to get them raw go to Felix's right across the street from ACME, can't miss it. Check out Champions Square. If should try to go to Dominica for Pizza in the Roosevelt holel. Absolutely awesome. Its not like pizza you usually find in the states, its true Neapolitan style, as in the style of Naples. Go to Antoins Hermes bar and try the soufflé potatoes, like a puffed up potato chip hand cut and a true new orleans classic appetizer. Antoins is the oldest restaurant in the US, the main dining room is very stuffy and formal, but the Hermes bar is casual. People like the Muffalattas at City Grocery, but I find them a bit salty. Do you want fine dining? I can give you tons of recommendations on that. The WWII museum is absolutely amazing if you are into that kind of thing. Its really a don't miss. There is nothing else like it in the world. Make sure you catch the movie before you tour the museum. Aquarium is nice too and if you have kids there is an insectarium. Yea Bourbon is ok and probably something you will want to see but I would check out Frenchman street too. Its a more hip and less touristy version of Bourbon and is where all the real music is. On your way there you can check out Port of Call, its on Esplande and has one of the best burgers in town plus its a real cool dive. Good drinks too. Upperline is hands down one of the best restaurants in the city. I actually did a radio show with Dianne Clevinger the owner last week. You will see her if you go, always in the dining room and she is a riot.
