Jeff Duncan reports for the Sporting News that New Orleans Saints QB Aaron Brooks has improved gradually each season, but he's not ready to join the league's elite. When confident and on top of his game, Brooks can be a dominant player. He has the arm to make every throw and can keep drives alive and make big plays with his mobility. Brooks is exceptional on seam routes and slants, partially because his 6-4 frame allows him to see the field. He needs to improve the timing on his touch passes and on his ability to hit receivers in stride. Backup QB Todd Bouman has great athleticism and a strong arm, but he lacks consistency. Third-year QB J.T. O'Sullivan enjoyed a strong season in NFL Europe and has been compared to Carolina QB Jake Delhomme, a former Saint.

He needs to improve the timing on his touch passes and on his ability to hit receivers in stride.

How is this news? The kid hasn\'t been able to throw touch or timing since he came into the league and has never shown improvement in these areas. He is a great sandlot ballplayer. If every Sunday, the Saints could line up in shorts and no pads and Brooks could tell the guys in the huddle, \"Go long and I\'ll throw to whoever gets open.\" Then we\'d be in the superbowl every year. But it isn\'t that kind of league. Sandlot ball doesn\'t win championships. Brooks can\'t make all the throws--not that he isn\'t physically capable, and probably not that he isn\'t mentally capable, he just isn\'t able to get it done.

oh ok... so lets get rid of Deuce and Horn as well because they aren\'t getting it done.

Some people like half a quarterback ..... :P

A seasoned veteran and starter in the NFL and he is only accurate on 50% of his passing ability .....Inspires confidence ....

Geez....what\'s left?? Are you saying the guy\'s got emotional problems that are keeping him from throwing touch passes or something??? LOL

Here\'s my explanation: Brooks is a SANDLOT player. He doesn\'t have the discipline to learn anything other than, \"Everybody go long and whoever gets open I\'ll throw it to you.\"
