I don't know if I can come up with 5, but here goes:

1) I never thought the Saints would win a SuperBowl, especially after Katrina ... never in a million years ... maybe come close, but never win it all.

2) At first I didn't think it was fair that they let Tom Dempsey kick with that specialized shoe, and then I thought, "eh, what could it hurt?".

I feel really good about myself. Cause I actually thought Brees would do great when he came here.

I also never gave up on the saints. Honestly there's a dozen other franchises that have a WAAYYYYYYYYY worse history than us.

You never hear people talk about how bad the 9ers were in the 70s. Or the steelers in the 60s.

We've had TWO good decades(90s and 2000s and we'll probably have another good one in this decade). Most teams don't have any.

All 4 LBs on The Dome Patrol was on the team from 1986-1992, after that it went downhill until '06... I don't think of the '90s being that good for us, after '92 we didn't make the playoffs until '00

Nonetheless That's still a decade.

Maybe I should change that to the (late 80s/early 90s and the 2000s and the coming decade).

That's still 2 more good decades than most franchises.(even if one of those decades was 2 halves put together).

Plus 8 years to reach the playoffs isn't much when you think what the lions have had to go through.

I thought Gary Cuozzo was the next Johnny U.

I though Bum Phillips was going to take us to the playoffs.

I thought Larry Burton was the next Bob Hayes.

I thought Bobby Scott would be good if he ever got the chance to play.

I think its interesting to make a list of how long in terms of years it took for some teams to win a championship.

Steelers took about as long as the Saints did, some teams are waiting longer.

3. I thought Stabler had something left.
4. Every year since I was six I thought the Saints had a shot. (42 Years)
5. I thought the "flex" defense was the answer.
