Re: What other team...
My problem is that I'm very worried about our defense. Yes, I know we have injuries but we ALWAYS have injuries. On the texans first drive tonight, they went 80 yards and I don't think they had a third down. When the guys announcing the game say things like "the texans are putting on a clinic", you have to worry.

Re: What other team...
last year I was saying the same thing about when we were in man coverage all the time.
Spags has faith in his zone defense, and seeing what he turned the Giants into in his time there; no way we can be as bad as we were last year... |

Without a doubt, his record speaks for itself. He just needs to put his foot up MJ's rear. Those 2 wide open catch's were because MJ was in lala land.

Re: What other team...
I guess I always feel like this before the regular season starts. I rarely make the preseason games so that I have time I can take off to attend the games that matter, so I still haven't seen us play in person yet. There's a heck of a lot of things going on that you miss when you watch the games on TV. I'll know more about our team after watching them in person when we play the redskins.

In person, I felt like the Jacksonville game was, we got punched in the mouth. They just came in and wanted to punch us in the mouth. But after the fumble, Brees had that next drive where he looked insanely good, and it was like 17-10 at the half. But the vibe was that it had completely turned around -- if this was a normal game it really felt to me like the second half would have turned into a typical beatdown, like 31-16 or something. The defense looks pretty terrible in person, but it's still kind of a work in progress. It seems to me like they start out godawful SUCKING, OH GAWD, but then by the time they get a grip on things, second quarter, it gets a LOT harder for the other team's offense, the defense are not sucking quite so bad, and then they fold it up and the 2nd string comes in. Just an impression. |

Re: What other team...
I've already forgotten about last night. Now I'm more worried about that dumb hurricane. Now it looks like a direct hit on us. We already seem to be neck deep in the SuperBowl Host curse. Another "katrina" will certainly push us over the edge.

Re: What other team...
I agree with the OP. Props to Vitt for keeping things running smooth. Listening to Kromer talk is encouraging too. He's seems to be a very Squared away kind of guy.
