Fumble against Texans could hurt RB Chris Ivory

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I want to keep Cadet badly. He looks like he will excel at anywhere he lines up. He's very athletic. Dump Shanle, keep Cadet and Ivory. Alaska...

I agree, except the dump Shanle part... As we've already seen this preseason, you can't have enough LBs

he just seems to fit our offense too well,

Ivory is the only true power back on the roster. Enough said.

Man I don't know what y'all was looking at Cadat is a good RB but Ivory looked really good. The guy fumbled but it was a good hit. Ivory deserves to be on this team and I'm in favor for Ivory.

Papz, I have to agree with Dude. I thought that Chris Ivory was knocked unconscious if only for a moment when he took that hit. When he was hit his body went limp. There is no way he was hanging on to that ball. I told my wife as soon as he was hit that he was knocked out. I was really surprised that he came back in the game.

Ivory has been placed on the roster bubble and/or trade block by many beat writers because of the emergence of UDFA Travaris Cadet. The Times-Picayune feels that his track record and impressive combination of power and elusiveness are enough for the team to keep him despite injury and fumble troubles. He'll only see reps if Mark Ingram misses extended time.

I'm in favor of Ivory over Cadet... hopefully we can keep both. I'm sure both PT and Ingram can handle that role, but Ivory is a battering ram with speed and power. We just don't have any touches for Cadet. We have 2 backs that does what he does at a very high level.

No it wasn't.
Any hit any second of the came could end someones career. The way those two collided was vicious.

I think we find a way to keep both. Ivory haves something that better fits our teams needs right now as the power back, but Cadet is too good of a player to let go. You have to find a way to keep both. Do we really have to have a long snapper?

Shanle had a pretty darn decent game. Could this be his break out year? lol.
